Roof Repair
Improper step flashing is the leading cause of roof leaks at wall-to-roof transitions. Step flashing needs to be woven between shingle courses with each piece extending 4" above the shingle exposure. We see Eckert homes where the last roofer used continuous L-flashing or just caulked the gap. That always fails. We tear it out and install proper step flashing with a kick-out diverter at the bottom per IRC R905.2.8.3.

Flat Roofing
PVC membrane for Eckert restaurants, commercial kitchens, and facilities with rooftop grease exhaust or chemical exposure. PVC resists oils and animal fats that destroy TPO and EPDM membranes. We install IB Roof Systems and Duro-Last PVC with factory-fabricated accessories for watertight penetration details. Built-up roofing (BUR) uses 3 or 4 plies of fiberglass felt in hot asphalt with a gravel or cap sheet surface. Oldest proven flat roof system, with 30+ year service life in Colorado. We still install BUR when the application calls for it.
